École Polytechnique de Ouagadougou (EPO), with unwavering determination, is laying the foundations for academic excellence in Engineering Sciences and Technology (EST) to accelerate and support the industrialization of Burkina Faso and the West African sub-region.

Seven (07) years after its creation, the institution now offers two (02) preparatory courses for engineering studies and five (05) engineering degree programs, marking a crucial stage in its development.

Today, we welcome the equipping of a large number of state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops that are essential for high-quality training in functional fields.

These major advances demonstrate the EPO's commitment to providing high-quality education, supported by infrastructure that matches the ambitions of a leading university.

Efforts are focused on several strategic areas:

• The continued development of appropriate academic infrastructure to ensure practical and immersive training ;
• Resilient and inclusive governance to enable every employee to feel involved in the challenges and contribute their own touch ;
• A dynamic and successful partnership to adapt training and facilitate the social and professional integration of graduates ;
• A qualified workforce suited to the challenges of engineering education.

It should be noted that the EPO embodies the Burkinabe government's vision of establishing a large-scale institution, with integrated preparatory classes, dedicated to vocational training in engineering professions. Year after year, we rise to the challenge of developing human capital and stimulating economic growth and employment in Burkina Faso.

We are proud of what we have achieved in seven (07) years and are looking forward to the upcoming graduation ceremony for our first design engineering graduates. This milestone is the result of the passionate commitment of our teaching staff and administrative personnel, as well as the invaluable contribution of our industrial partners, who support EPO on a daily basis.

Together with our partners, we form a synergy of actions to adapt our training offerings and content to the needs of businesses. Our formalized collaboration through the School-Business Consultation Framework is a testament to this union.

Over the next three (03) years, the School will increase its capacity, diversify its training offerings, and strengthen its reputation in STI training.

The construction of new educational infrastructure, the acquisition of laboratory equipment, and the opening of new courses (process engineering, civil engineering, metallurgical engineering, etc.) are among the actions being considered. Strengthening partnerships with the private sector will enable the School to play a role in the economic development of businesses./p>

The research activities of the faculty members at the School's multidisciplinary engineering research laboratory, focusing on topics defined in consultation with companies, should enable them to propose appropriate solutions to the major operational and development concerns of businesses.

In short, EPO intends to position itself as a reliable driver of socio-economic development in Burkina Faso. We urge engineering students to fully embrace this vision by making enormous sacrifices to become the leaders of tomorrow.
